THE LAW OF GEORGIA on Changes and Amendments to the Constitution (the Supreme Law) of the Republic of Georgia

The Supreme Council of the Republic of Georgia decrees:

To introduce the changes to the Constitution (the Supreme Law) of the Republic of Georgia:

4.  To word article 177 as follows:

“The prosecutors of the autonomous republics and the autonomous oblast within the Republic of Georgia shall be appointed by the Prosecutor General of the Republic of Georgia, upon nomination of the Supreme Councils of the autonomous republics and the Deputies of the autonomous oblast.

The district and city prosecutors shall be appointed by the Prosecutor General of the Republic of Georgia”.

The law shall come into effect upon its promulgation.
