RESOLUTION OF THE
SUPREME COUNCIL OF THE REPUBLIC OF GEORGIA
on establishing the temporary governing bodies on the territory of former
Tskhinvali District and on appointing the Sakrebulo
elections
Due to the difficult situation on the territory
of former Tskhinvali District the elections of Sakrebulo failed to be
held. Therefore, there are no state
authorities and no governing bodies at the level of settlements and
villages. Having considered the proposal
of the Prefect of the city of Gori and Gori District on establishing the
temporary governing bodies on the territory of former Tskhinvali District and
on appointing the Sakrebulo elections, the Supreme council of the Republic of
Georgia decrees:
1. To entrust the Prefect of the City of Gori and
Gori District with the task of appointing the temporary representatives, with
the authority of Sakrebulo’s Gamgebeli, on the territories of former village
councils of the former Tskhinvali District; the funds for their operation shall
be allocated according to the number of employees and within the salary funds.
2. The authority of the Prefect’s temporary
representative shall be suspended upon election of the chairman (Gamgebeli) of
the relevant Sakrebulo.
3. The lections of deputies at Kurta, Kemeri and
Berula Sakrebulo shall be holding on 25, 26 and 28 September, respectively.
4. This Resolution comes into effect upon its
promulgation.
