RESOLUTION OF VI CONGRESS OF COUNCILS OF WORKERS, PEASANTS AND RED ARMY DEPUTIES OF THE GEORGIAN SSR “on joining
of the Soviet Socialist Republic of Abkhazia the Soviet Socialist Republic of
Georgia as the autonomous republic”

VI Congress of Councils of Workers, Peasants
and Red Army Deputies
of the Georgian SSR:
a) considering necessary, and for successful
implementation of the tasks of socialist developments on the basis of general
plan of the public economy brought up before the working masses of the
USSR and for fraternal cooperation of
the workers and peasants of these republics;
b) pursuant to the
will of workers of Abkhazia, who adopted the Resolution at VI Congress of
Councils of Workers, Peasants and Red Army Deputies of the Georgian SSR on
joining of the Soviet Socialist Republic of Abkhazia the Soviet Socialist
Republic of Georgia as the autonomous republic, decrees:
1. On
the basis of Article 9 of the Basic Law (Constitution) of the Georgian SSR, the
Soviet Socialist Republic of Abkhazia shall be included within the Soviet
Socialist Republic of Georgia as the autonomous republic applying to it the
authority specified for in the aforementioned Basic Law.
2. The Treaty,
concluded between Georgian SSR and the Abkhaz SSR on 16 December of 1921 shall
be considered null and void.
