APPEAL OF THE GEORGIAN PARLIAMENT TO PARLIAMENTS OF ALL COUNTRIES OF THE WORLD

We appeal to our colleagues, parliamentarians of all countries of the world, to take maximum efforts for assisting Georgia in saving lives of hundreds of thousands of refugees and internally displaced persons from Abkhazia - civilian Georgians, Russians, Armenians and people from other ethnic groups, resulting from separatism and intervention against Georgia.

The country has no means for bringing the non-Abkhazian population displaced from Abkhazia as a result of the ethnic cleansing – women, children, the elderly, the wounded – to a safe zone and for providing them with adequate food, cloths, transport and medical assistance.

Once again, we express our hope that the civilized world would not remain indifferent about the hundreds of thousands of refugees who are undergoing fatal ordeals.
