STATEMENT OF THE COCHAIRMEN OF THE JOINT
CONTROL COMMISSION ON GEORGIAN-OSSETIAN CONFLICT RESOLUTION
Cochairmen of the
Joint Control Commission have considered a wide range of issues pertaining to
the Georgian-Ossetian conflict resolution.
The meeting
participants note with satisfaction the confirmation by sides in the conflict
of their firm intention to strictly keep to political methods of resolving the
Georgian-Ossteian conflict, by excluding any forms of coercive pressure in the
process of settling the relations between the sides, and to strictly implement
the agreements achieved.
The JCC Cochairmen
request the Georgian side to call participants of the forthcoming Russian
Business Conference in Georgia to use the potential of business communities in
implementing the Agreement between the Government of the Russian Federation and
the Government of Georgia on Cooperation in Economic Reconstruction and
Rehabilitation in the Zone of Georgian-Ossetian Conflict and on Refugee Return of
December 23, 2000.
It has been decided to
conduct the JCC plenary meeting in
