RESOLUTION OF THE PARLIAMENT OF GEORGIA On the Discussion
Held in the Georgian Parliament with Regard to Relationship between the Republic of Georgia
and the Russian Federation
With regard to the discussion held in the
Georgian Parliament concerning the relationship between the Republic of Georgia
and the Russian Federation,
the Parliament of Georgia resolves as follows:
1. An appropriate statement shall be made
concerning the shelling of the city of Sukhumi
and the interview given to the Russian television by General P. Grachev.
2. The Parliament of Georgia shall start debates regarding the draft
key agreements prepared on fundamental issues of relationships with Russia.
3. The text of the communiqué
regarding the working visit to the Republic
of Georgia of Chairman of
the Russian Federation Supreme Soviet Council of Nationalities R. G.
Abdulatipov and Deputy Chairman of the Russian Federation Government S. M.
Shakhray shall be presented for consideration to the Foreign Relations
Commission of the Georgian Parliament. The Commission shall urgently provide to
the Parliament its conclusion regarding the document.
The text of the communiqué shall be
published in central newspapers of the Republic.
