RESOLUTION OF THE PARLIAMENT OF GEORGIA on approving the Presidential Decree # 476 of 2 October 2008 “On Extension of the Term of Validity of the State of Emergency in Certain Territories of Georgia” and the Presidential Decree # 452 of 18 September 2008 “On Extension of the Term of Validity of the State of Emergency in Certain Territories of Georgia” announced under the Presidential Decree 424 of 3 September 2008 “On Preterm termination of the martial law introduced over the whole territory of Georgia and on introducing the state of emergency on the certain territories of Georgia

The Parliament of Georgia Decrees:

1.  According to article 62 of the Constitution of Georgia and article 3(2) of the Law of Georgia “On the State of Emergency” to approve the submission of the President of Georgia on extension of the state of emergency until 31 October 2008 in the following territories:

- Gagra District;

- Gudauta District;

- Sukhumu City and Sukhumi District;

- Gulripshi District, including Azhara Community (Azhara, Gentsvishi, Ckhalta);

- Tkvarcheli District;

- Ochamchire District;

- Gali District;

- Tskhinvali City and Tskhinvali District, including Kurta and Eredvi Communities;

Java District;

- Znauri District;

- Akhalgori District;

- Village Perevi of Sachkhere District.

2.  The Resolution shall come into effect upon its promulgation.
