THE LAW OF THE REPUBLIC OF GEORGIA on Introducing the changes and amendments to the Constitution of the Republic of Georgia

The Supreme Council of the Republic of Georgia decrees:

To introduce the changes and amendments to the Constitution of the Republic of Georgia:

2.  Paragraphs 10 and 13 of article 1214 to be formulated as follows:

“10) Shall sign the laws of the Republic of Georgia; shall have the right to return the law with his opinion to the Supreme Council of the Republic of Georgia or to the Supreme Council of the Autonomous republic for further consideration and voting.  If the Supreme Council of the Republic of Georgia approves the previous decision by two third of majority, the President of Georgia shall sign the law of the Republic of Georgia or issue the Order on removing the suspension from the enactment of the law of the autonomous  republic, or submits it to the referendum”.

“13) Shall be authorized to abolish the decrees and ordinances of the ministries and other acts of subordinate entities, the decrees and orders by Prefects; to suspend the validity of the laws of the autonomous republics, the resolutions  and the decrees and ordinances of thee supreme council and the council of ministers of the autonomous republics if they contradict to the Constitution and the laws of the Republic of Georgia”.
