THE LAW OF THE REPUBLIC OF GEORGIA on Changes and amendments to the Constitution of the Republic of Georgia

In view of adoption of the law of the Republic of Georgia “on the Prefects”, the Supreme Council of the Republic of Georgia decrees:

1. To introduce the following changes and amendments to the Constitution of the Republic of Georgia:

2. To word part 2 article 146 as follows:

“The prefect shall be responsible before the Supreme Council of the Republic of Georgia and the Government of the Republic of Georgia; and in the autonomous republic – also before the Supreme Council of the autonomous republic and also before the Council of Ministers.  Gamgeoba and Gamgebeli shall be accountable before the relevant Sakrebulo and the Prefect”.
