STATEMENT OF THE GOVERNMENT OF THE RUSSIAN FEDERATION

Violence, pillage and robbery against peaceful residents, including Russians, Georgians and other ethnics are still in progress in Abkhazia. Thereby, the heavy burden of responsibility comes to the Abkhaz leadership.

The Government of the Russian federation demands from the authorities of Abkhazia to stop the acts violating the human rights, massive ethnic cleansing of non-Abkhaz population, take measures for safe return of refugees and restore the policy encouraging observance of Sochi Agreement. Only fulfillment of these conditions may lay ground to the removal of sanctions.
