1983 – Graduated Kutaisi State Pedagogical Institute, Departmant of History in the Speciality of History-French Language.

1991 - Completed a Post-graduate Course of Ivane Javakhishvili institute of History, Ethnography and Archeology of the Academy of Sciences of Georgia.

1995-2006 - Junior Research Worker of the Ivane Javakhishvili institute of History and Ethnology Academy of Sciences, Department of the History of Eoropean Countries.

1996-1997 – Professor of the Georgian Technical University, Department of Georgian History and Culture.

2006-2011 - Senior Research worker of the Ivane Javakhishvili Institute of History and Ethnology, Department of Modern and Contemporary History.

2006-2011 – Chairman of the Organization “Regionalism Research Center”.
